Today we had a meeting with our set designer where we explained how we wanted our set to look like a modern hotel room. This meeting went well in some aspects as our designer really liked our idea, however, she told us it is going to be difficult to get the set to look like what we have pictured in out minds; as we do not have the budgets. The main things we need for our set is a modern bed, bed side table and an arm chair but unfortunately our college does not have any of these items.
The set designer explained that if she could even get her hands on any of these items we need for our set they most defiantly wouldn't be modern, which is a problem as that is what we imagined our 'hotel room' to look like.
As our budget is low this also doesn't make it easy but to help our set desighner my group and myself are going to try and help get some cheap furniture by looking at websites such as gumtree and free cycle, so hopefully we will be able to find some things on there as we not have any other choices.
Great use of reflecting over the process and decisions you have made. But share your ideas, what did you discuss. What kind of hotel room? You need to explore this slightly. Great use of pictures.
